My name is Kari Herdlevær, and I breed Berners under the prefix Bernerberries. With me, as a good helper, I have my husband, Ottar. We have a grown daughter, currently studying in Australia. She helps and takes pictures when she's home on vacation. We live in Svelvik, Norway with our Bernese Mountain dogs, a Welsh Corgi Pembroke and some cats.
In 2002 we got our first Berner. Miss Bianca were both lovely to look at and in temperament. She lived to be 8 years old. Sadly she had a heart failure and we had to let her go. We love to be ourdoor whith our dogs and give them various tasks to solve. Once in a while you also can find us at dog shows.
Our dogs are like family members and the only place we use cages is in the cars for safety reasons. We set high standards for our buyers because it is important to us that the dogs are doing well.
I am a qualified teacher and have worked in the school for some years. Keeping dogs and dog training has been a big part of the day and became the direct reason for me to start training as a dog trainer in 2003. I have attended several courses for instructors and can today hold several different types of courses . Their language and behavior is something that I'm particularly interested in. Puppy buyers can get the attention and treatment that is desired or required.
